Our Community: About NEDAC

The NED University of Engineering & Technology Alumni Association of Canada (NEDAC) serves as a vital hub, connecting thousands of accomplished engineers who have migrated to Canada from NEDUET. As a registered charitable organization, NEDAC is dedicated to fostering a strong professional network, providing crucial support to its members, and maintaining a vital link with NEDUET back home.

Why This Cause Matters

For many NEDians settling in Canada, NEDAC is more than just an alumni group; it's a lifeline. It provides an essential platform for networking, mentorship, and support, helping new immigrants navigate the complexities of their adopted country and integrate seamlessly into the Canadian professional landscape. Equally important is NEDAC's role in giving back to our alma mater, supporting current students at NEDUET through various initiatives and fostering the next generation of engineers. Our collective effort ensures a vibrant, supportive, and impactful community.

NEDAC Vision: Our vision is to lead a dynamic, inclusive, and forward-thinking alumni community that remains actively connected to its alma mater. We aspire to foster lifelong engagement, inspire a spirit of service, cross-generational leadership, and build a global network that supports alumni professional development. Top Success Stories: Our Impact

Team Zubair is committed to continuing the legacy of impactful achievements. Here are some key successes that highlight our dedication to the NEDAC community and its broader mission.

Empowering Careers

We directly addressed employment challenges within our community by leveraging the strength of the NEDAC network. With the dedicated support of our mentors, we turned obstacles into opportunities. Alhamdulillah, by the end of our term, nearly all engaged members secured meaningful employment—including assistance extended to their children and relatives. More importantly, we fostered a lasting culture of mutual respect, support, and unity among our members.

Strengthening Academic Ties

In a landmark achievement, we signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) and NED University of Engineering & Technology (NEDUET) on February 22, 2025, during the NED International University Convention. This collaboration marks the beginning of promising academic and research partnerships with Canadian institutions. TMU has already donated GIS labs to NEDUET in March 2025, and we remain hopeful for continued progress, InshaAllah.

Investing in the Future

As a commitment to academic excellence, we proudly contributed $50,000 to NEDUET to enhance its IT infrastructure. This investment reflects our dedication to equipping the next generation of engineers with the technology and tools they need to thrive in a competitive global environment.

Engaging the Community

From elegant gala dinners to the memorable cruise picnic, we organized exceptional events that brought alumni and families together in celebration and fellowship. On the operational front, we successfully filed seven years of pending taxes for NEDAC—a major administrative milestone banked by the last board.
